HERE'S an offer that's too good to refuse. JJK Productions has put together a concert that will preview some of the musicals to be staged in the Hunter this year as a fund-raiser for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service. The concert, to be held at the Pioneer Hall, in Cowper Street, Wallsend, this Sunday at 2pm, will include numbers from Opera Hunter's Cats, DAPA's La Cage Aux Folles, Newcastle Repertory's I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change, JJK's Blood Brothers and the same company's return season of last year's sell-out production of Rent. Soloists will include Nola Wallace, Jennifer Barnes, Jacquelyn Brown, Lia Pati, Rachelle Schmidt, John Shearman, Miranda Heyman, Daine Ellicott, Larna Staley, Marissa Sarocca and recent CONDA winners Chris Maxfield, Wendy Ratcliffe, Tim Shearman and Jason King. Tickets are $12 and can be purchased by phoning 4951 3450. JJK is also putting together two concerts as fund-raisers for Swansea Bowling Club. They will be held at that venue on Sunday, January 28, at 2pm and 7pm. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased by phoning Dot at Belmont Retravision on 4947 7197.
